The iris has for ages been the symbolic flower or artists, worshipped for its affinity for the artist's soul. The purple iris is the classic flower essence choice for artist's block, writer's block, or a general creative or imaginative stagnation. The species we have made the flower essence from is the bearded Iris germanica, an escapist from local gardens. Its flowers are big, heavy, and the color is usually quite a rich, radiant purple. The opulence of this flower's energy suggests richness of artistic output, and the energy starts in the solar plexus, the center of our individuality, and moves up to the throat (symbol of verbal or written communication) and then to the third eye (insight) and then up and out.
This flower essence is powerful enough on its own (and is appropriate for men and women), or consider taking it alongside red poppy to enhance feminine power, or alongside sunflower essence to enhance self-confidence.
