The Story
For this soothing herbal face cleanser, we hand-mix organic castile soap with a dose of strong-brewed calendula flowers, marshmallow roots, and chamomile flowers, then we add unrefined cold-press pumpkin seed oil, golden jojoba seed oil, and more. This ultra-gentle foaming face cleanser is suitable for use on even the most sensitive skin, and will remove light to moderate makeup.
This is a very concentrated cleanser that lathers up to a luxurious foam, so a little goes a long way. Marshmallow Face Cleanser can also be enjoyed as a body wash, which is especially recommended for people with sensitive or dry skin or skin prone to allergies, psoriasis, or eczema.
Benefits
The formula contains a bouquet of in-house-brewed organic herbs that leave the skin feeling clean, silky, soft, and calm—never dry or tight.
Marshmallow root: These roots are rich in mucilage, a sap-like substance that has softening, hydrating, and anti-inflammatory properties. Marshmallow root is especially effective at calming redness and inflammation, and is highly soothing to dry and sensitive skin. It is also thought to help with repairing the skin barrier.
Calendula is a top-choice flower for healing and nourishing the skin. We grow most of the organic calendula flowers used in this face wash ourselves on our thriving mini-farm.
Chamomile: Chamomile flowers are known for their ability to calm inflammation and soothe the skin. For this cleanser, we have combined a trio of pure aromatherapy-grade German, Roman, and Moroccan chamomile essential oils. The blue tansy (Moroccan chamomile) and German blue chamomile oils we use are a very dark midnight-blue color, which is one way to ensure that they are the highest grade available (lower-grade oils are thinner and paler blue or almost green in color). These deep blue oils are rich in chamazulene and are anti-inflammatory, calming, repairing, and antiviral.
Pumpkin seed oil has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it a great choice for helping to heal and prevent acne. It's also high in omega fatty acids and other nutrients.
The Scent and Energetic Impact
The combination of German and Roman chamomile and Moroccan chamomile (blue tansy) with just a touch of violet leaf and galbanum results in a light, comforting, and mind-soothing scent.
It cleanses very well—my skin feels soft, silky, calm, and almost squeaky-clean, but never too dry or tight. It's one of my favorite cleansers—"holy grail" status for sure!

Directions
This face cleanser does not contain emulsifiers so it will naturally separate: shake the bottle briefly to remix as needed. Apply a pea-sized amount of the cleanser onto wet hands, lather up, and massage into the skin. Rinse thoroughly.
Full size 100 ml (3.4 fl oz); travel/sample size 15 ml (0.5 fl oz).
A great value: a little goes a VERY long way! The 100 ml size will last for more than two months when used twice a day on the face.
