Dandelion is such a celebrated herbal remedy, valuable for a range of issues, from liver detox to anemia to fatigue, but many people are reluctant to drink the sharp, bitter dandelion root teas that are commonly available. For this tea, we have picked the early spring leaves only, resulting in an appealing, refreshing tea with none of the bitterness. Our dandelion leaves are all picked in the wild in the spring around the time of flowering. The whole dried leaves retain their maximum nutrients, have a beautiful rich green color, and can be brewed into a fresh, restorative tea that is truly enjoyable to drink. This tea contains no caffeine. Our Dandelion Tea is available seasonally. We are looking forward to our next harvest in May of 2019 and will be ready in June.
Dandelion is one of the first herbs recommended for gentle, slow, yet powerful liver detox, improving nutrient levels (especially iron), purifying the blood, and removing toxic heat buildup in the body. The brewed leaves can be helpful for chronic or recurring sinus conditions, eye infections, anemia, chronic fatigue, irritability, low immunity, and a tendency toward physical weakness, and have been used in Western herbal tradition to treat deep-seated body inflammation and mania or manic depression (drink daily long term, for as long as six months). Also beneficial to the skin, dandelion tea reduces hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation, and is the best herbal tea choice if one is very sensitive to sunlight.
Surprisingly delicate, resembling fresh, lightly floral green tea.
Spring leaves of wildcrafted Taraxacum (dandelion).
Take a few leaves or more and place inside a teapot, tea mug, or French press. Brew using filtered, freshly boiled water. Steep, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes, then strain. Add honey or agave nectar if desired.
We hand-package each batch of tea in clear bags made of natural cellulose. The bags are made from wood grown in sustainably managed plantations and are certified compostable and recyclable.
Freshness guaranteed for 12 months. Full size 1 oz. (28 g).
Due to the very high cost of our ingredients and the labor-intensive (highly time consuming) small-batch production process, we are unable to accept returns of opened or unopened products at this time.
